Why Cairo?

Cairo

Yesterday,a friend of mine asked me to write about Cairo and how it's connected to different languages.
The first thing that can come to your mind when I mentioned Cairo could be this:

Or this

It actually depends on your own way of thinking but looking back at the first picture,we find poor people gathering in El Tahrir Square and TAHRIR is synonym for Freedom in english. On a Facebook page, the 25th of January revolution started and it soon became a burning flame inside each and every Egyptian,no matter what his social position is.
Looking at the second picture is one of the most decent places in Cairo. El Korba, its name,is a prestigious place in Cairo where Classy people live and totally isolated from the country's current circumstances and the only thing that could bother this neighborhood is that the presidential residence lies near El Korba.
However, these are 2 COMPLETELY different aspects of Cairo

Education:

As we all know, education plays an important role in raising youngsters and make them totally aware of their future and to be honest,as I'm totally against our Egyptian revolution for the drawbacks it caused us,the whole mess going on in Egypt right now is due to some arrogant and selfish people.
Please don't get me wrong,we DO HAVE education in Egypt and we do have the finest IGCSE students. We have the potential not to be good at something but excellent!
I myself study in a school that includes both educational systems, national and international. I found myself more appropriate in a national system as I found myself all into the dentistry stuff which will facilitate the Egyptian Colleges applications. However, the international system,IGCSE,is a bit complicated and I never got the chance to understand how it really works but I believe it's way better than our national system as its more organized and yes! They do have a better and richer curriculums.
Anyway, our schools do not stop here, not at all!
Our schools vary and this variation could be a bit outstanding!
We have Islamic Schools which are represented in Mosques or independent institutions.
American/British schools which are all independent institutions. Depending on the international curriculum.
German schools at which they study all of their subjects in German! Same to French and Greek schools!

Unfortunately,we do not have much language based schools like the German or Greek ones I mentioned above. Our whole concern was about primitive schools achieving success for some students and the others who failed to get good grades are objected to a weird diploma where they get to work as a cashier,Etc..
However,if a certain individual wants to learn a certain language, that would be an extra effort for him as he will have to sign up for college courses in addition to his current educational curriculum, that will mess up some stuff!
Anyway,I guess that's the only way education goes around here in Egypt and it's my honor for you to read this post. I really hope I opened your eyes on my part of the world!
